At the annual Mjärdevi Mingel in June, two Mjärdevi-based companies shared in the award of the regional SKAPA-stipendium for future innovators. Marcus Hultberg of Linkura won 10000kr and Ellinor Eineren with Agricam won 30000kr. Both companies are resident in LEAD, the Park-based incubator.
Linkura is the creator of Diet Planner, an innovative tool that makes it easy for people who are interested in nutrition and well-being or who have illnesses that require them to keep track of the foods they eat.
Agricam has developed CADDIE (Cattle Disease Diagnostics), a unique infrared camera system that systematically and remotely monitors udder health in dairy cows. By identifying painful inflammation mastitis at an early stage reduces suffering to the animals as well as the need for excessive antibiotics.
