IFS has signed an 8.6 million kronor contract to provide maintenance and service to one of Ericsson's field service operations in Sweden. One of IFS’s principal market segments includes service and installation. Using IFS Applications, companies improve their business processes by collaborating more closely with customers, suppliers and subcontractors.
Brazilian progess
Besides its domestic success, IFS reports that they have gone on the offensive in Brazil by purchasing LatinIFS with its headquarters in São Paulo, Brazil. The IFS market in South and Central America is growing rapidly and approximately 120 companies in Brazil, Argentina, Equador and Mexico use IFS Applications. The recent acquisition of LatinIFS strengthens the company's position there.
Positive returns
IFS anticipates a positives returns in 2011 folloing the LatinIFS acquisition. According to IFS, LatinIFS has over 100 customers in Brazil, including many global players in the oil and gas industry. International companies who are entering the Brazilian market and establishing a presence in the South American market will benefit from the very latest version of IFS Applications to simplify their expansion efforts and relocation.
