Scope of Responsibility / Expectations
R&D Manager will be responsible for a team of ten system engineers as well as local contractors and offshore engineers, organized in scrum teams. The department consists of around 60 people and develops a software product for IPTV. This a growing team and we are continuously developing our agile software development methods. This role is a part of a small team of R&D managers working close together. The team will share the operational work of the department.

Responsibilities includes:

• Coach and motivate team supporting each individual’s professional development

• Task management • Improve output and structure of work of the R&D department

• Estimate work and plan future requirements • Maintain shared documentation

• Evaluate productivity and find ways to improve it

• 3rd party contract negotiation

• Support colleagues with administrative systems Preferred Knowledge and Skills

• Computer related Master of Science degree or similar computer sciences degree

• Proven experience in identifying issues & potential issues and proactively finding and implementing solutions.

• Experience in task and people management

• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal); Excellent command of English and Swedish language.

• Experienced in collaborative ways of working, international experience / experience in multinational environment preferred

• Demonstrates excellent understanding of typical challenges in software development
